2021 event to be confirmed.
Held over four days, the Childers Festival is an iconic destination event that tells the unique story of Childers through place, experience, spirit and culture.
Originally held over one day, the event has grown to a thrilling four day festival that embraces an appealing range of local activities, events and tours. The festival culminates on Sunday 26 July, when the mighty Bruce Highway closes and over 300 food and market stalls line the historic Childers streets from 9am to 3pm. Cuisine from all parts of the world will be complemented by an amazing array of market stalls. In-between eating, shopping and browsing you will be entertained by a diverse range of music offerings, held over four stages.
There will also be a host of activities leading up to the festival. Experience a cane fire and tour around a local sugar mill, enjoy performances by leading Opera Queensland artists set against the stunning backdrop of a local lake or indulge in the brand new “Red Dirt Dalliance” that will bring people together in an exhilarating mixture of food, dance and performance. Full listing of events, booking information and accommodation options will be released on Monday, 27 April, 2020.
The Childers Festival is proudly presented by the Bundaberg Regional Council and we look forward to welcoming you to the only festival in Queensland that stops the mighty Bruce Highway!
