Join Wide Bay Stingless Bees and guests Precision Bees and Bee Prepared for a worksop addressing native bee keeping and husbandry.
Precision Bees will discuss Australian Native Bees focusing on the eduction propagation techniquige as well as hive husbandry and pollination.
Josh from Bee Prepared will be opening a few hives for splitting and showing what to look for in an even split for the best success. Josh will also be transferring a few water meter boxes to boxes and showing the best and easiest way to clean the water meter pit to avoid any pest buildups.
Tony from Wide Bay Stingless Bees will show log transfers from Tetragonula and austroplebeia species. He will also do a total box transfer from an old OATH style box into a new box. Tony will also teach how to find bee colonies in a natural setting.
Bookings are not essential, cash only. All bookings will receive a free sausage and cold drink on the day.

We will have our box display available for viewing and bee related items including empty boxes, books and much more for sale on the day.
Kids welcome under 15 free entry. Please bring hats!!
