This workshop is designed for people who work with kids, and anyone who would love to learn how to teach yoga tools to help anxious kids feel calm.

Designed for classroom teachers; early childhood educators; allied health professionals; therapists; and anyone who wants to learn how to teach yoga tools to help anxious kids feel calm.

You will learn:

  • The science behind what is happening in a child’s brain and body when they are anxious & why the tools work
  • How to communicate with a child when they are in an anxious state- (what to say, what not to say, what to do, what not to do)
  • A mindful art activity to help you have a conversation about anxiety with your child
  • Some therapeutic movements (including ones that can be done during a “meltdown”)
  • Two child friendly breathing techniques (plus a script and teaching tips so you know what to say)
  • A guided relaxation technique for kids Workshop facilitator, Stacey Louise, is a Registered Children's Yoga Teacher (RCYT) and Yoga Teacher Trainer with 15 years experience teaching Kids Yoga in schools and hospitals. She works at Sunshine Coast Uni Hospital as a Paediatric Yoga Therapist and is the founder of the Calm Fairies program.
