Footprints on Country is a short documentary exploring what it means to 'walk on country'.

Three young, indigenous people, Jem Cassar-Daley, Hannah Cleary and Corben Kemp were welcomed by traditional owners onto Country.  The group visited five culturally significant sites to listen to Dreamtime stories shared by Traditional Owners and Elders.

A celebration and exchange of culture at the Yarning Circle in Gin Gin,was a moving and spectacular end to the project.

This project is managed by Creative Regions, supported through the Indigenous Languages & Arts program and captured by filmmaker David Quarrell of Associate Media.

My week in Bundaberg was a unique and fulfilling experience made possible by the team at Creative Regions. I was able to learn about Taribelang Bunda culture and ways of living from Byron (Broome), whilst learning about my own culture in the process. I have come home feeling connected, inspired, and eager to learn more about my family. I particularly enjoyed hearing Dreamtime stories from the local elders and feel honoured to be welcomed into their community. - Jem Cassar-Daley
