Join Sharon for this "Water Bottle Membranophone" episode of kitchen science! You can gather the following list of items and do the experiment at home or just watch and enjoy!

  • Clean, empty plastic water bottle, any size. Bottles with ridges work best
  • Scissors (for children) or Stanley knife (for adults)
  • Disposable glove
  • Rubber band. The rubber band needs to be a snug fit around the bottle or be able to be wrapped around again.
  • Hole punch
  • Paper drinking straw
  • Sheet of paper

This session is completely online so you can join us from the comfort of your home. This activity is suitable for a variety of ages however adult supervision is required for children.
