Bundaberg Regional Council invites you to an Arts Industry Networking event.

CQUniversity’s Regional Arts Services Network (RASN) and Bundaberg Regional Council invites you to an arts industry networking evening exploring Arts in Fashion. In the field of fashion, creativity is the common theme that unites the disciplines of art and design. There is a bridge that connects the two universes. The realm of fashion is also connected with art and design, which have accompanied humanity through its history in their own unique way. There is a close relationship between the three mediums.

In a world where fashion often seems homogenized and mass-produced, captivating and innovative wearable art blurs the lines between clothing and artistic expression, a spectacular fusion of sculptural art and fashion, of creativity and functionality, transforming garments into canvases that tell stories, evoke emotions, and challenge conventional notions of style. This panel of speakers will explore the different ways the arts is being used to push the boundaries of fahion in regional Queensland. As well as the potential development and employment opportunities this field is offering to artists and arts workers.

Guest speakers include:

  • Trudie Leigo - Central Queensland Regional Arts Services Network (CQRASN)
  • Jolene Watson - Bundaberg Regional Council
  • Wendy Roe - Australia Wearable Art Awards (Eumundi)
  • Cindy Vogels - Fashion Designer & Stylist (Gympie)

This is a free event. Registrations are essential as refreshments will be served. Bookings close Friday 22 November 2024.
